In 2018 I had a priviledge to create the VFX for the independent feature film "Lancaster Skies" by Callum Burn (Tin Hat Productions).
My role was to create and compose more than 70 VFX shots (from full CGI scenes, through composing blue screen footages with CGI elements to correction of original shots). Presented here are 3 shots where I used my Lancaster model. I rigged the model, animated it, lit and finally composed with original footage. 3d tracking by Pawel Czarzasty.
Director decided to use classic fx techniques (like minitaures filming) which result with the old fashioned look like in classic british films. The complexity of the shots I present here required more advanced approach. That's why we decided to use CGI.

This shot required changing the aircraft code letters and looks quite simple. But due to the fact the scene is observed from moving car it required a lot of tracking work and effort to blend the CGI aircraft parts with the real ones.
